GROUND WORK, The Clark ARt Institute

The Clark’s first outdoor exhibition Ground/work consists of site-responsive installations by six contemporary artists presented in locations across the pastoral setting of its 140-acre campus. International artists Kelly Akashi, Nairy Baghramian, Jennie C. Jones, Eva LeWitt, Analia Saban, and Haegue Yang were invited to conceive of a response to the Clark’s landscape and to be in active dialogue with the natural environment and setting.

THESE MOURNFUL SHORES is a site specific public outdoor sculpture consisting of a 16 ft Aeolian Harp, A mediated sound piece will be available along with public programs and performances. Opening through October 2021 https://www.clarkart.edu/Exhibition/Ground-work

PROSPECT 5 New Orleans - OPENING OCTOBER 2021

Yesterday we said tomorrow, curated by Artistic Directors Naima J. Keith and Diana Nawi, is the fifth iteration of Prospect New Orleans. This citywide contemporary art triennial will feature more than fifty artists in over fifteen venues throughout New Orleans and will include newly commissioned works alongside the work of historically significant artists. P.5 will investigate how history informs the present––particularly in relation to New Orleans, a uniquely American city that embodies so many urgent issues of today, but which remains deeply invested in and subject to its recent and historical past. Taking the city as a mandate, this exhibition will examine history as both document and fiction, exploring the idea that our moment feels both unprecedented and familiar. https://www.prospectneworleans.org
